Chris Bosh scored 21, and LeBron James added 20 points for the Heat, who moved to 15-1 in the month of December, setting a franchise record for wins in a month.

Wade scored 40 or more points for the second consecutive game, shooting 17-for-24 from the field and a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe.

“Being [Wade’s] teammate, I knew exactly what was about to happen,” James said of Wade’s offensive output after being fouled by Brooks. “He went into attack mode. Back-to-back games with 40 points–he’s just an unbelievable talent.”

Miami allowed more than 100 points for the first time in 17 games, surrendering a season high 62 points in the first half. However the Heat were able to limit the Rockets to just 41.9% shooting from the field, while connecting on 58% of their field goal attempts for the game.

The Heat improved to 9-5 against Western Conference teams, and are 14-3 when they score 100 or more points. Next up for Miami are the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, then they travel to Charlotte to face the Bobcats on Monday.
