USC Basketball Loses Their Best Recruits…

Share/Save/Bookmark

Tim Floyd was just pushed out the door as head coach of USC Basketball on Tuesday, and already it’s pucking up things for the Trojans. Their two best recruits for 2009, Derrick Williams (6-7 Forward – La Mirada High) and Lamont Jones (6-0 Combo Guard – Oak Hill Academy) have already decommitted.

Or they would have if USC athletic director Mike Garrett would pick up their calls so that they can get released. Shady USC.

But, Trojans never fear- you still got Evan Smith (son of UCLA great Gavin Smith) from Calabasas High and Lil’ Romeo will still be there. But, 2010 recruit Gary Franklin (6-3 PG – Mater Dei High) is “leaning towards backing out” of his commitment.

On the bright side, the short list of coaches USC is trying to get to replace Floyd are: Jamie Dixon at number one, followed by former NBA coaches Jeff Van Gundy and Reggie Theus, and then Southern Mississippi coach Larry Eustachy.

Can you imagine Ben Howland and Jamie Dixon coaching rival schools in the Pac-10?

WTF…New Ruff Ryders! The LOX, Eve, DMX, and Drag-On!
