Tis Tough: Amar’e Stoudemire Leaves in Sling From Punch To Fire Extinguisher Glass After Knicks Loss
Amar’e Stoudemire has officially entered his name into the Bonehead Hall of Fame, after punching the “glass” encasing a fire extinguisher in the Knicks locker room out of frustration following his squad’s 2nd straight loss to the Heat and lacerating his hand.
Rumor is the laceration required several stitches and Stoudemire was seen leaving American Airlines Arena with the hand heavily bandaged and his arm in a sling.
The injury will likely cause Stoudemire to miss Game 3 in New York on Thursday and his status for the remainder of the series is uncertain.
Following the lapse in judgment, Stoudemire sent out the following tweet apologizing for his poor decision:
I am so mad at myself right now, I want to apologize to the fans and my team, not proud of my actions, headed home for a new start
If the Heat keep playing the way they are it won’t really matter whether Stoudemire plays or not, cause the Knicks look ripe to get swept like some hair in a barber shop.
