I been stuck at my gomar’s spot this whole week and she likes to live in the Stone Age, which means she lacks even the basics of cable, so I didn’t get a chance to see the much-anticipated debut of BET’s reality series “The Michael Vick Project,” until yesterday. The show follows the legend as he tries to make his way back into society after the 2 year bid on dog fighting charges. In the first installment, Vick went back to the scene of the crime, his former Virginia home which housed the Bad Newz Kennels operation which he funded, but was maintained by a group of friends and family who eventually dimed out the hand that fed them.
Even though Vick was given the harshest sentence of all of the people involved in the ring, it should be noted that besides his financial investment, he probably had the least to do with the day-to-day operations, which included the murdering of numerous dogs that didn’t perform up to standards. Between games, practice (we talking about practice), doctors appointments, side-boos, OTA’s, minicamps and training camps, there wasn’t a lot of time in Vick’s scheduled for murking dogs. But since he had braids at the time and a damn near $100 mill in the bank, it was obvious that he was going to take the fall. Via The Huffington Post
