NFL Week 2 Recap

Another solid weekend of NFL football and less than a week until our knig Mike Vick is back on the field, where he belongs….
Giants 33, Cowboys 31 - The G-Men spoiled America’s teams home-opener in the new Cowboys stadium. Jerry Jones had to be salty considering the billion plus dollars he spent on the 8th wonder of the world and the fact that a crowd the size of a respectable city came out to see their team get serviced. Tis Tuff.
Jets 16, Patriots 9 - Rex Ryan was talking a lot of heat this offseason but he backed it up, helping the Jets snap an 8-game home losing streak vs the Patriots that goes back to 2000. Tom Brady looked decent, but its becoming obvious that his knee is shadier than expected.
Vikings 27, Lions 13 - For a brief moment we thought the Lions might have a chance, then reality set in. After opening the game with a 10-0 lead, Detroit gave up 27 straight points. Brett Favre also set an NFL record with his 271st consecutive start.
Bengals 31, Packers 24 - Who Dey? The Bengals rebounded from a tough loss last weekend to service the Pack in Lambeau for the first time in team history. There is nothing better than when Ochocinco does a leap into the stands at an opposing team’s stadium. Unome! to Antwan Odom, who had 5 sacks in the game…

NCAA Football Week 2 Rankings: AP vs USA Today

There is no big surprise here, in the top 4 spots in both of the polls you have the top 4 teams: Florida, Texas, USC, and Alabama. Where these other teams are getting first place votes when Florida has been whooping every teams ass by like 50 points we don’t know, but they are tripping.
So which Poll are we rolling with this week, U-S-A all the way baby. Why, because the USA has BYU ranked the lowest. They are 7th in the AP Poll and 9th in the USA Today, right in front of Boise State…the two teams that are going to (f)uck up the BCS this year. So the lower the are right now, the better things will be later.

The Weekends NFL Games…Part II

Chargers 17 - Cardinals 6: WTF! Matt Leinart played the best out of all the Cardinals QB’s…about time, that MMA Training might have actually de-sissy-fide him. In other news, no surprise here…the Chargers will be better than the Raiders on offense and especially defense.
Saints 38 - Texans 14: Reggie Bush’s knee wasn’t hurt enough for him to not pick up Kim from a fashion show, but it was too hurt to play in Week 2’s Preseason game. With his knee already swelling, it’s only a matter of time before he’s on the IR…again. But it’s okay b/c backup Mike Bell is better than decent.
Seahawks 27 - Broncos 13: Hey what do you know, Kyle Orton didn’t suck too bad. And he was without their best receiver Brandon Marshall, who the Broncos left at home because he was crying.

49′ers 21 - Raiders 20: Ahhh, it’s nice to see the Raiders are once again one of the laughing stocks of the league, but this time it’s because of the coaches. On the field they’ve got some talent…Russell, McFadden, and the luckiest man in the 2009 draft…Heyward-Bey. Watch rookie Louis Murphy, who played TE at Florida, end up being the best receiver they’ve got.
Dolphins 27 - Panthers 17: The Dolphins are going to be our 2nd fav team to watch this season (Eagles #1) and its all because of the Wildcat. They broke out the package again this game and ran 4 direct snaps for 18 yards and one flanker pass for 35 yards.
Browns 27 - Lions 10: Stafford is fitting in right with the Lions… On the first play he threw an interception (at least it wasn’t returned for a touchdown). Meanwhile, we still haven’t decided who we want to start at QB for the Browns…Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson. And neither has the Browns coaching staff.
