Kimbo Slice Serves In UFC Heavyweight Bout

Kimbo Slice showed much improvement, especially with his notoriously sloppy ground game, to win a unanimous decision against fellow heavyweight Houston Alexander. Alexander was scary in the first round and tried to dance around Slice, which made for some boring television. The fight picked up in the 2nd and 3rd round and Slice showed his critics that he’s ready for another real fight.

ROUND 1

Spike TV has got a hit with this one. The UFC’s Ultimate Fighter is one of the best shows on television. Every week you get to see elite athletes enter the octagon and do work against each other. When internet sensation Kimbo Slice joined the mixed, all eyes were focused on his eventual meeting with Roy “Big Country” Nelson. Most people thought that Kimbo, coached by the legend Rampage Jackson, would dominate this dude but that wasn’t the case. Nelson used his sizable weight advantage to get a TKO, but Kimbo was still decently coherent after the onslaught.
Nelson pretty much controlled the whole situation during the fight. Kimbo got saved by the bell in the 1st round after Nelson delivered a slew of weak blows to his dome. Slice showed a little bit of heart in the 2nd round, trying to deliver a few unsuccesful one-hitter quitter. But once Nelson got Kimbo on the mat and locked him up in a crucifix position, its was over. Nelson delivered about 20 more dome shots forcing the ref to stop the fight with 2:59 remaining. Big Roy is a beast and Kimbo has a lot to learn, but he is getting there.

Rampage Jackson claims that he is done busting dude’s monkey asses, announcing his retirement from MMA. The former UFC light heavyweight champion will to try to focus more on his acting career, which includes his appearance as B.A. Baracus, the role made legendary by the fool-pitying Mr. T, in the new “A-Team ” movie. The film is scheduled to be released in 2010. Jackson had this to say on his website:
I’m hanging it up. I’m gonna miss all my loyal fans but hopefully they’ll follow me to my new career & I will gain more loyal fans along the way. … I still feel the UFC is a great organization and I felt like I was very loyal to them but they didn’t respect my loyalty but I wish the UFC the best. I did a lot of things for them. I wish no bad blood between us but I have kids & a family back in Memphis to provide for & thats all that matters to me!
As you probably already know, Rampage is one of the most legendary dudes of all time and we will miss him. Some of his greatest highlights after the jump.

Herschel Walker Wants You To Kiss His Converse

Herschel Walker may be an old head (he was a dominant force in Tecmo Bowl), but the former NFL legend has some heart. The 47 year old decided to sign a multi-fight contract with Mixed Martial Arts group Strikeforce, which is something like the UFC. Walker is very knowledgeable in hand-to-hand combat and while he may not know karazy, he does know some karate (hopefully more than Dirk Diggler).
Walker will begin training soon and we are hoping that he doesn’t go out like Johnnie Morton, but all signs point to him taking an ass-whooping when he does step into the ring. Considering that Strikeforce has a contract with CBS, we are praying that Gus Johnson gets to call the fight.

This ain’t any of the UFC dudes getting their ass whooped up there, that’s Abe Wagner vs John Madsen…but one of them dudes got their head busted to the white meat. Blood goes everywhere, so if your weak stomached don’t watch.
But this is the 10th season of Ultimate Fighter and the first time they are having it with heavyweights. And this season that got three ex-NFLer’s trying to make it big: Matt Mitrione (DT Giants), Wes Shivers (OG Falcons), and Marcus Jones (DE Bucs). So if want to tune in every Wednesday for them at least do it to see Kimbo Slice.

Dana White Is An OG…UFC 101 Will Be Decent
Posted by John Krease on

Forget that the man’s first name is Dana, because we wouldn’t want you to get it twisted… there is nothing soft about Dana White…UFC’s president, commissioner, and MMA’s godfather.
He cussed out a female ESPN reporter for talking wreckless, he’s at war with EA Sports for coming out with a rival MMA video game, and like 50 cent…dude ends guys’ careers for fun. Nobody has been able to stand up to this guy and win. Nobody except the best MMA Fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko.
He is the one that signed with Strikeforce instead of UFC and it really has Dana pissed. Too bad he ain’t got the muscle to do anything about it. So what has he done…resorted to pouting to reporters about it in this video.
FYI: UFC 101 is tomorrow night…fight details here.

LOL Video: Rampage Jackson Humps A Reporter…
Posted by John Krease on

For those of yall that watch the UFC, you know Rampage Jackson is crazy. High speed chases with police in monster trucks, sound bites that would make Mike Tyson say WTF…this dude is not only crazy, he’s deranged.
Here this cute little reporter is trying to do an interview with him and he just starts humping her. She takes it like a pro though and is still able to get out one more question through all the humping. But weirdly…we think she liked it.
