In The Face: Amar’e Stoudemire Is A Grown Azz Man

Dunk Score: 9.7
It’s a good bet that Spurs guard Richard Jefferson probably got a bunch of calls, texts and bbm’s from friends and family wondering what the hell he was thinking trying to block Amar’e Stoudemire’s dunk attempt. Odds are he wasn’t thinking, “damn, this dude is about to shart all over my life,” or else he would have just done the safe thing and moved out the way. Instead Jefferson will be the subject of ridicule for the foreseeable future and should think twice next time he tries to get some heart against a freak of nature like Stoudemire.
Spotted: Steve Nash Chops Game At Sundance

In case you didn’t know, Suns guard Steve Nash is versatile like a flexible side-boo. When he isn’t on the court diming like a well-paid snitch, ala Bubbles, Nash is in front of or behind the camera producing some of you more hilarious/entertaining pieces for both Vitaminwater and just for shits and giggles with his teammates. The second-best thing to come out of Canada since Alex Trebek decided to get his Vinny Chase on, heading to the Sundance Film Festival in conjuction with ESPN Original Films. Nash is currently directing a documentary for ESPN’s 30 for 30 on Canadian legend Terry Fox, which is scheduled to be released some time in September.
During the interview Nash also admitted that he will be starring in yet another Vitaminwater commercial, that is scheduled to run during All-Star weekend. Nash wasn’t very forthcoming about exactly what is cracking in the commercial, but if it’s anything like some of his previous work, it should be hysterical.

In The Face: Beasley Gives Diaw Chin Nuts

Dunk Score: 9.7
Apparently Michael Beasley’s braider was on vacation (or a staycation for the broke and fabulous) as he decided to bring the fro out yesterday during the Suns-Heat game in Miami. B-Easy also decided that he was going to bang out over the Euro that is Boris Diaw, catcing a tip jam on him that assuredly had Beasley’s nuts all in the Frenchman’s grill. Somebody please wipe his face.

In The Face: King James Bangs On Stoudemire

Dunk Score: 9.4
King James showed once again why he is a beast unlike anything ever seen in the history of the NBA, banging on fellow start Amare Stoudemire with extreme prejudice during the Cavs win over the Suns Monday. With Shaq making his return to Phoenix, LeBron decided to steal all of his shine, serving the Suns with a cherry on top. Congratulations should go out to Amare for being smart enough not to try and jump with LeBron, which would have further added to the humiliation and most likely given the dunk a perferct 10. Instead Stoudemire made his next move his best one and decided to stay grounded, like an airplane in bad weather. He chose wisely.

Steve Nash Has Dimes

Whether Steve Nash is a product of the high-scoring system that he plays in or not, the dude puts up numbers and the Suns are doing work this season. Nash put up a 20/20 against the Sixers Monday, with 21 points and dropping 20 dimes in the Suns comeback victory.
Nash has continued to put up MVP-type numbers, averaging 18 points and 13 assists and dropping 37 dimes in his last 2 games. The Suns are 7-1, which is good enough to lead the Western Conference. If they can keep winning, Nash has a good opportunity to add another MVP trophy to the mantel.
