Sick Kicks: Lil Wayne Rocks J’s During Grammy’s

Any time you wear sneakers that match the verses of your rhymes, then you have to be one of the greatest that has ever done it. Lil Wayne rocked out the Grammy’s Sunday night and along with his protege Drizzy Drake and the legend that is Eminem put on one of your sicker performances of the night. Lil Wayne took the stage to perform 2 songs including the smash hit “Forever” featuring Drake, Eminem and Kanye West, who was unsurprisingly absent from the performance after his rant at the VMA’s. Wayne’s verse on the track, sums up why he was rocking some of the sickest pair of J’s that the world has ever known:
Ok, hello its da martian
Space jam Jordan’s
I want this sh-t forever wake up and smell the Garden
Fresher than the harvest
Step up to the target
If i had one guess than
I guess im just New Orleans.

Baron Davis Mashes Through NYC Breaking Ankles
Posted by The Insider on
January 21, 2010
Baron Davis recently took some time out of his busy schedule trying to make the Clippers a playoff team to mash around New York City in a one of your sicker looking shoots promoting his kicks with Chinese sneaker giant Li-Ning. The video features some solid cameos from a few legends in the entertainment industry including Irv Gotti, Jim Jones, D.J. Clue and Common, who tries to pretend like he’s got some game, even though it may be on the Obama level.
Considering that Li-Ning does little to no advertising in the United States, besides chipping a few League dudes to rock their kicks, a video of this magnitude comes as somewhat of a shock. But BD is caking anyways so he might have just used some pocket change on this joint. Via ibeatyou
Sick Kicks: Nike Releases NYC-Themed LeBron’s

Now what we have here are a special pair of LeBron’s signature shoe, the Air Max LeBron VII’s that Nike released to reflect King James’ love for the NY. Now no one knows for sure where the King will be playing ball once he becomes a free agent at the end of the season, but he is known for rocking Yankees hats and we know the Knicks would love to have him playing home games in the Garden. These new kicks have some interesting features. Besides being in Knick colors the sole features LeBron’s logo paying homage to the classic “I Love NY” slogan and also have a question mark inside the shoe, an indication of the question that should be answered during the Summer of next year. Sick Kicks: Air Jordan XI Space Jam’s Are Back

The Air Jordan XI Space Jam’s are getting re-released today, just in time for the holiday season, so if you have some cheese to burn and a desire to stay flyer than a Pelican, then go ahead and grab you a pair. Jordan is still the only dude that can give you a consistent pair of rockable shoes year after year, and he beent out of the game like midrange. The XI’s are easily my favorite pair of Jordan kicks ever, because they were worn during a very impressionable time in my life. They are still the one of the sweetest pair of shoes these eyes have ever seen and still look like they are 5 years ahead of the times. Respect.Via Sneaker News

Sick Kicks: Nike 25th Anniversary Crispy White J’s

December 1, 2009

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the G.O.A.T. (besides LeBron) taking the shoe game to a whole new level, Nike has come out with crunchy white versions of every pair of Jordan’s to date. Sad part is they won’t be releasing nare nadda pair to the general public, which means if you want some of these you have to be a real life ballertician, or have a connect sicker than Marlo. Sick Kicks: Nike Zoom Kobe IV’s MVP Edition

November 19, 2009

Must be nice. Being the reigning Finals MVP and a 4-time NBA Champion does have it’s benefits. Even though Kobe doesn’t have the honor of getting kicks as sick as any pair of J’s ever created, Nike did release an uber limited edition on the Zoom Kobe IV’s, paying homage to Bryant’s former number 8. So pretty much only Kobe and some other rich squares will get there hands on these bad boys. These joints look like they were designed by Fukijama. Via Sneaker News

WTF! Jordan Trying To Slang High Heels

While the reception to these new Jordan 8 High Heels has been lukewarm to bitter, we have to admit that these things might be a hitter in the hood. We wouldn’t want any of my lady friends rocking them, because frankly we stopped dating chicks that wear sneakers (outside of the standard athletic activity) in middle school. But reasonably priced at only $65, you can bet these things are going to get scooped like ice cream by some diehard female (and tranny) Jordan fans out there. Via Gucci-Sneakers

Sick Kicks: Air Jordan 1 Retro High

Any time you can sell a pair of 25 year old shoes for 3 times their original price, you’re definitely a legend. Jordan’s. Take these dark obsidian patent leather Air Jordan 1 retros for example. Definitely a great gift for the holiday season. Whilst LeBron and Kobe are the heir apparents, guaranteed none of their kicks will ever top a pair of Air Like that old Tupac track, that’s just the way it is and things will never change.
