Michael Vick’s Finally Getting His Mojo Back

Share/Bookmark

If you don’t roll with Mike Vick, then you’re crazier than a shithouse rat. For Philly, the city that has become the home for embattled superstars from Bad News Virginia, the Vick experiment can be deemed successful, while Iverson’s return to the Sixers is still open to debate. The Eagles have eased Vick into their offensive scheme and have used his capabilities to throw off defenses at random points throughout the game.

Donovan McNabb at least appears to be rolling with the use of Vick, even in goal line situations where a thirst for a TD might cloud one’s vision. Allowing Vick to throw the ball more, will keep opposing defenses confused and when McNabb and Vick are on the field together, the options are unlimited.

With 3 TD in the last 2 games, Vick is going to force the Eagles to make a tough decision next season. Even though Vick has expressed his desire to be a starting quarterback, the Eagles have him by the nuts and his $5 mill salary next season really isn’t that bad considering his potential trade value.

Regardless of what happens next season, the Eagles have a golden opportunity to do something special this year. Currently a game atop the NFC East, the Week 17 showdown at Cowboys Stadium could be the stuff of legend. If the games ends up being for the NFC East title, you can best believe that the Eagles will have something up their sleeve with Vick in mind.

Damn: Iverson Gets Crossed Like A Jesus Freak

Share/Bookmark

After distributing his fair share of ankle breakers, Allen Iverson finally showed his age, falling victim to a move that had re-invented. During the Sixers loss against the Pistons last week in Iverson’s second game back with the team, Rodney Stuckey clowned the Legend, making him fall to the ground so nasty, that Iverson’s own teammate had to pick him up. It’s always sad when a legend of Iverson’s stature gets clowned by a youngster, but it’s just apart of the game. But it definitely means that we are getting old.

Guess Who’s Bizzack: The Answer’s Debut With Sixers

If this doesn’t make your heart flutter at least a little bit then you have issues, and more than likely you have grissues (grill issues) as well.

Even though the Sixers didn’t get the win against the Nuggets Monday, one thing is for certain, Allen Iverson is good for business. In the midst of a 10-game losing streak with attendance among the nastier in the League, The Answer was able to pack the Wachovia Center, helping the Sixers get their first sellout of the season. He also gained the respect and admiration by kissing the floor after hearing being introduced in the starting lineups. Definitely a great move on his part and hopefully a good sign for things to come.

Iverson played decent considering it was his first game action in over a month, filling up the stat sheet with 11 points, 5 boards and 6 assists but most impressively only committing one turnover in nearly 38 minutes of action. The Sixers played solid as well, paced by Andre Iguodala, and led for most of the game before tricking it off in the 4th quarter. Overall it was one of their better showings this season.

Iverson and the Sixers will get a pass for the loss, but it won’t get any easier for the squad as they get set to face another one of AI’s former teams, the Pistons, on Wednesday. They do have 4 more games left in this home stand, with the Rockets, Warriors and King James coming to town throughout the course of the next week. If the Sixers can go 2-2 over this span, or at least look respectable, you can start to call this reunion somewhat successful. I can guarantee that they well sell at least one of these games out as well, but just because LeBron’s coming to town.

Mike Vick Gives Falcons The Business

Share/Bookmark

A huge Unome! goes out to the Legend Mike Vick, for having his best game of the season at the place he use to call home. Atlanta may not be Vick’s hometown, but it was definitely his adopted city after his time with the Falcons. After being incarcerated for those dogfighting shenanigans and getting booted by Arthur Blank, many thought they would never see Vick dominate in the Georgia Dome again. On Sunday, they found out that this wasn’t going to be the case as the Legend came back to his old stadium and did work, accounting for 2 TD in the Eagles demoralizing victory.

Vick was the first to admit that he was a little nervous coming back to the city that he use to run like numbers, with his legendary #7 still being rocked heavily around town. The initial response to Vick was a solid mix of cheers and boos, that resonated throughout the stadium. But by the time it was said and done, Mike Vick showed flashbacks of his former self and had nearly the entire crowd on their feet cheering him on. Chants of “We Want Vick” could be heard at various points throughout the game, and even though the hometown crowd was sad to see their team take the loss, the respect they showed to their former field general makes your heart flutter.

Guess Who’s Bizzack: The Answer Gets A 2nd Chance

“It’s only right.”

Instead of wasting your time rambling about the Leged, just watch the video and realize that Allen Iverson got a rude awakening this season and he is a changed man. Normally when a man cries you have to call him soft with a capital “T,” but when it’s a dude like Iverson, you know it’s legit. The Sixers aren’t as nasty as we all would like to believe and now they have a realistic chance of making the playoffs. But we’ll holler after he plays his first game to see what it smell like.

Spotted: Mike Vick Hollers At Bernard Hopkins Fight

(Damn, Sugar Shane Mosley looks strung out)

Who knew that Mike Vick and Bernard Hopkins were knigs? The Legend, getting ready to face his former team this weekend, took some time out of his schedule to watch Bernard Hopkins defeat Enrique Ornelas by a 12-round unanimous decision in Philly Wednesday. The win was supposed to set up a fight with Roy Jones next year, but after Danny Green got up in Jones’ ass like a wedgie during their fight in Australia, the match is like a fart in the wind now.

Obvs: Sixers Offer Iverson One-Year Deal

UPDATE: Iverson agreed to the proposed non-guaranteed one-year deal with the Sixers and has been named a starter for his debut with the team Monday against the Denver Nuggets. Hopefully he can put the team on his back and get them into the playoffs.

After nearly every NBA team gave AI the proverbial child please, refusing to mess with one of the greatest pound-for-pound players in league history because of a questionable histoy, The Answer might be getting some brotherly love in the city where he started his professional career. Following a meeting with Sixers head coach Eddie Jordan and GM Ed Stefanski, the team felt comfortable offering Iverson a one-year deal. After losing point guard Lou Williams for the next few months, the Sixers could desperately use Iverson’s bucket-getting ability, and with a low cap number he is the answer.

In life everybody wants to be wanted, and this season has definitely been an eye-opener for AI, who was close to getting the Starbury treatment, forced to fade to black like a Jigga dvd. But much like the rap icon, Iverson might be the Sixers blueprint. Even though the team is a dismal 5-13 this season, they are only a few games away from the 8th seed. Everyone knows the Eastern Conference is notorious for having teams with losing records make the playoffs and the Sixers really aren’t that bad…on paper.

The addition of AI might actually help out rookie guard Jrue Holiday, who has shouldered some of the load since Williams’ departure. The rookie has played solid, but could use a true vet like Iverson for some guidance and wisdom. Holiday is the future of the Sixers but could learn a little bit from the past.
