OMG! Josh McDaniels Drops M-F Bomb On Live TV

Fans watching the NFL Network’s Thursday Night game between the Broncos and Giants got an inside look at how head coach Josh McDaniels really talks to a bunch of dudes that could all whoop his ass in a one-on-one fight. NFLN cameras caught McDaniels swearing like a sailor as he ripped into his team for their questionable play. Guaranteed someone in the production truck got a McDaniels-like tongue lashing for letting the profanity-ladden harangue make the air, while viewers got a special Thanksgiving treat.

Much like Kevin Garnett, hopefully they will learn to keep mics away from McDaniels unless they are in the hunt for some R-rated material.

“Every Coach’s Dream” Calls Out NFL Network

Share/Save/Bookmark

Titans running back Chris Johnson, aka “Every Coach’s Dream,” doesn’t take lightly to criticism. During NFL Network’s Total Access show Thursday, analyst Jamie Dukes had some choice comments to make about Johnson during a preview of the Titans-Jets game this weekend. Apparently Johnson was watching the show and almost immediately tweeted the respone above tho Dukes’ twitter account. He then proceeded to call into the show and got into a brief verbal fisticuff with Dukes.

The whole conflict arose over comments made by Dukes in regards to how the Jets might try to shut down Johnson, who has been balling this season. Jets head coach Rex Ryan was the Ravens defensive coordinator last season when they beat the Titans in the playoffs, largely because injury Johnson suffered in the first half. In regards to Ryan’s gameplan to stop Johnson Dukes said “He’s (Rex Ryan) saying If you hit this kid enough, he will wilt, that’s the way you take this kid out of the game.”

About a half hour later, Johnson was on the phone calling out Dukes for what he perceived to be some major hateration. “You sat there and said that I’m a good player but if you start to him then I’m gonna lay down. I don’t even have no bed, so I don’t have nowhere to lay down at.” After watching the exchange we are rolling with “Every Coach’s Dream” for having the nuts to confront Dukes. We’ll find out if he can back it up this Sunday.

Stacey Dales and Michael Irvin Head To NFL Network

Stacey Dales, one of our favorite broadletes (broadcasters/athlete) and what they call a “thoroughbred,” is now working with NFL Network. Dales was at ESPN but bounced earlier this year after her requests to fly first class were vetoed like Don Corleone.

She will be co-hosting NFL GameDay Morning and we’ll be checking her out for sho. We don’t even need to put her on a stamp, she’s already a champ.

NFL Network also announced that Hall of Famer Michael Irvin will be appearing on the show as an analyst. Irvin was also working over at ESPN but got booted, so he made his next move his best move.

Tweet Of The Morning…We Feel Bad For Rich Eisen

Share/Save/Bookmark

Around 11 o’clock last night, this Tweet showed up in our deck and we were just like…hmmmm, me too. But as it turns out, Rich was not about to go on Spankwire to rub one out, someone had actually hacked Rich’s twitter account and posted it for him.

LOL Video Of The Day: Rich Eisen Got Jokes

For some reason these dudes are laughing like they just saw a dog humping a gerbil. You got Jon Gruden, Rich Eisen, and Mike Mayock all on set cracking on each other like they were all chillin’ at the barbershop. And Rich Eisen is cold, dude told Mike Mayock he looked like Mel Kiper. Point Rich.

Now This Is Some Funny Shit…

ESPN Cuts Emmitt Smith To Make Room For Favre

Norby Williamson, ESPN executive vice president, says ESPN hopes to meet with Favre next month: “He’s a funny, dynamic guy and would add to anybody’s coverage.”

So most people already know that ESPN axed Emmitt Smith last week, canning him like some Spam. We’re not too worried about his career, we are sure that the NFL Network will welcome him with open arms. What is more disturbing than his firing is ESPN’s plan to hire Brett Favre as a commentator.

It looks to us like ESPN was clearing some cap space by firing Emmit so they can sign a younger and bigger star to a major longterm deal. Damn its just tuff out there for old football players. We’ll put Emmit right next to Marvin Harrison and Fred Taylor and notice thary are all black - just a fact.
