Gillispie Agrees To Plea Deal In DUI Case

Former Kentucky head coach Billy Gillispie entered a guilty plea Monday in Kentucky’s Anderson District court for a DUI case he caught back towards the end of August. Although it was Gillispie’s third DUI charge, the other 2 were in another State, so Billy G got slapped with the maximum penalty under Kentucky law for a first time DUI (Dooey) offender. God bless democracy.
Gillispie will have to pay a $1,000 fine and attend an alcohol-education program before he can legally drive a car in the State again and try to make it a 4-peat. Gillispie most likely celebrated the Judge’s decision with a solid game of Edward 40-hands, hopefully he played it with someone else, so after he’s killed his brews they can untie his hands.
Gillispie’s penalty is nothing, considering that the currently underemployed head coach reached an agreement with the University of Kentucky, settling for $3 million after he filed a lawsuit against the school for not living up to their contract memorandum.
