BYD: Larry Bird Says LeBron Could Be The Greatest

Larry Legend hollered at the good folks at NBA TV a few days ago and was asked a two-part question that ended with the same answer. When asked which player most embodied the skill set that he had and which was more similar to Magic, Bird quickly named LeBron as the heir-apparent in both categories. Bird went on to say that LeBron has what it takes to be the greatest of all time, dominating the floor in a manner that makes it seem like he is merely toying with opponents sometimes. Shocker.
The critics are quick to point out that LeBron doesn’t have any rings and as such can not possibly be the greatest player of all time. King James’ squad is one of your nastier in the league but only looks respectable on paper. The addition of Antawn Jamison has been whatevs to this point and LeBron still hasn’t been given a player of a Pippen caliber to be his proverbial wingman. Look at the numbers and ask yourself this question, if LeBron was on my team would the be a contender? Obviously.
Either way, NBA Legends have taken notice and are quickly becoming witnesses. Their opinions matter way more than the average journalist, reporter or square.
WTF? Kobe Pokes Andre Iguodala’s Meat…Twice

Kobe Bryant has been in the League for a long time, so he knows the tricks of the trade, but poking Andre Iguodala’s meat not once, but twice as he attempted a jumper is definitely crossing the line (watch the slo mo replay for the double-poking). Hell facebook doesn’t even allow the double-poke (unless you get poked back) but the shady move didn’t go unnoticed as Kobe was whistled for a foul on the play (shocker). Iguodala was visibly shaken after getting the double nut-shot from the 2nd-best player in the NBA right now.
While Kobe doesn’t really have a reputation as a meat-poker, this move might be considered extremely dirty by some. It wasn’t like Kobe was sneaky with it as this was pretty blatant and dare I say malicious. You should never mess with a man’s manhood, unless that’s your thing and he gives you the go-ahead. Sick Kicks: Nike Hyperdunk Aston Martin Edition

Being the 2nd-best player in the NBA does come with a few extra benefits, like these special edition Hyperdunks designed for Kobe Bryant by the good folks at Aston Martin. These limited edition kicks (only 500 pairs will be made) won’t hit the shelves but are available for pre-order for those lucky few with enough cheese to cop these. The shoes are scheduled to make their debut sometime this spring, so definitely be on the look out for these joints.
All this means is that King James should have a pair of his kicks designed by Bugatti, because they are way sicker than Aston Martin, which is still really, really good though. Via O Sneaker

Sick Shot: Kobe Returns And Hits Game-Winner

After that shady ankle injury caused Kobe to miss the last 5 games, plus the All-Star festivities, the legend came back like 2-3, hitting this clutch game-winning 3-pointer with his squad down 2. Kobe didn’t look too rusty after the time off putting up 32 points, 7 rebounds and 6 dimes, and it didn’t hurt that it was against the Grizzlies. The Lake Show minus Kobe looked decent but with him back in the lineup they look like contenders once again. With the Cavs nasty interesting trade still needing to work play itself out the 2nd-best dude in the League, now has the top squad for the time being.
Sick Shot: Kobe’s Game-Winner vs Celtics

The Lake Show needed a little skill to pull off the mild upset against the Celtics in front of the Bean town faithful, and thankfully they have the 2nd best player in the NBA right now. Kobe yet again did some work, even with the shady finger, hitting this clutch jumper in Ray Allen’s grill as time winded down to give the Lakers the one point lead and eventually victory. All signs are pointing to a Lakers-Cavs Finals, which if it happens, may be the most watched series in NBA history.

We have been known to roll with Jimmy Kimmel Live on occasion, and other times not so much, but this joint is pretty decent. We need more unnecessary censorship.
The Great Debate Continues: Kobe vs. LeBron

The Kobe vs LeBron (or LeBron vs Kobe depending on who you’re rolling with) has been known to cause bitter arguments and depending on your allegiance, can even lead to some fisticuffs. The dudes in this video get into a heated argument while riding the bus. One dude is a Kobe lover while the other is a witness to the King, which leads to a great back in forth as the argument stretches beyond basketball and gets personal.
The Let Shannon Dunk Phenomenon Is Growing

Shannon Brown is quickly gaining notoriety around the league and appears to have found a home with Lake Show. After a few disappointing seasons with the Cavs and Bobcats, Brown was apart of the Vlad Rad trade and has surprisingly done work in his first full season with the squad. Since his selection for the Dunk contest next month, Brown has been on a mission show why he was worthy of the honor. During the Lakers game against the Wizards Tuesday, Brown put on a dunking display including catching a tip-jam on the heads of former Tar Heels Antawn Jamison and Brendan Haywood.
