Former Bronco Brandon Marshall Traded To Dolphins

After a bittersweet season the Broncos decided to trade yet another star away, shipping Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins for 2nd-round picks this year and next. Upon his arrival in Miami, Marshall signed a 4-year contract extension worth damn near $40 millio and becomes the second star player that the squad has dealt in the brief Josh McDaniels era. The Broncos dealt Pro Bowl quarterback Jay Cutler to the Bears before the start of last season in exchange for Kyle Orton and some other goodies.

After the Broncos got off to that now forgettable 6-0 start, McDaniels may have blew his proverbial swagger load a little too early as the squad didn’t even reach the playoffs. Something like a little Napoleon, McDaniels has gained a reputation for stomping down on players that he believs aren’t “bought-in” to his system. McDaniels and Marshall’s exchanges were bi-polarly (made that up) legendary. From Marshall acting out in public to embracing McDaniels in the good times, to McDaniels’ decision to bench stud wide receiver went back and forth, including a decision to bench Marshall prior to a key Week 17 game to the nasty Chiefs.

Fortunately for Marshall, he gets to start over again in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, without having to worry about dealing with recently departed Joey Porter, who was released earlier this offseason and signed a deal with the Cardinals. Marshall might have really found out what those “popcorn muscles” were all about.

T.O. Congratulates Marshall For Breaking His Record

If I had a record broken, most likely I would be saltier than a Swordfish, but such is not the case with Terrell Owens. After having his single-game receptions record broken by none other than “Baby T.O.” Brandon Marshall, Owens reached out to the Broncos wide receiver on Twitter to personally congratulate him for the honor. Marshall got all up in the Colts defense’s ass like a wedgie with the 21 catch performance, and now has a great chance of continuing his streak of 100+ receptions. Marshall needs 24 catches over the next 3 games to make it the 3rd straight year.

The Broncos are definitely going to have to break bread with Marshall, who’s contract expires at the end of this season. He tried to get a deal done in the offseason and when it didn’t come to fruition, Marshall decided to act up during training camp, getting suspended and demoted for his actions. After a slow start, Marshall has slowly picked up the pace and his 200 yard performance Sunday put him over the 1000-yard mark for the 3rd straight season. So guaranteed he will be asking for his chips, with dip, once negotiations get underway.

OMG! Josh McDaniels Drops M-F Bomb On Live TV

Fans watching the NFL Network’s Thursday Night game between the Broncos and Giants got an inside look at how head coach Josh McDaniels really talks to a bunch of dudes that could all whoop his ass in a one-on-one fight. NFLN cameras caught McDaniels swearing like a sailor as he ripped into his team for their questionable play. Guaranteed someone in the production truck got a McDaniels-like tongue lashing for letting the profanity-ladden harangue make the air, while viewers got a special Thanksgiving treat.

Much like Kevin Garnett, hopefully they will learn to keep mics away from McDaniels unless they are in the hunt for some R-rated material.
