Stuff Athletes Hate: Cromartie Forgets Kids’ Names

Boxer Max Baer after losing the heavyweight championship to James J. Braddock in 1935: “Well, he’s got a wife and children. Maybe I got children too, out over the country, only I don’t know it.”
Antonio Cromartie’s personal life has put him in the punchline of the joke with Evander Holyfield. It is Stuff Athletes Hate and is humiliating to their reputation. Cromartie has something like 8 kids by 7 different women, and 4 of them are 3 years old.
Last night on HBO’s Hard Knocks, he struggled to remember the names and ages of the Cromartie 8. It wasn’t so much funny as it was pathetic, not because he forgot his kids names, but because he’s perpetuating a the cycle of bearing illegitimate children.
He’s had 7 children out of wedlock, earning a spot on the all-paternity team. A long list of professional athletes Jason Caffey ,Shawn Kemp, Travis Henry and Calvin Murphy (the expert), who have infamously fathered several out-of-wedlock children.
It’s unfair to single out only black athletes, because they aren’t the only ones doing it. Larry Bird, Oscar De La Hoya, Pete Rose, Mark Messier and Steve Garvey all fathered out-of-wedlock children…..
LOL: Fireman Ed Deebo’s Rowdy Giants Fan

There was going to be some tension as the Giants and Jets opened their 2010 campaigns with a preseason meeting at their brand $1.5 billion stadium. But Giants quarterback Eli Manning leaving the game with blood squirting from the top of his dome wasn’t the only memorable thing to happen at the game.
During the action Jets #1 fan and New York Legend Fireman Ed, attempted to perform his the infamous “J-E-T-S” cheer but was rudely interrupted by a rambunctious Giants fan, that was obviously a little too loose off that goose.
But after a few aggressive elbow checks to clear out the area, Fireman Ed was able to regain his territory and continue right where he left off at the old Meadowlands stadium. Ed looks like he might be on the juice for real.

At first sight it’s very difficult to tell the different between current Jets head coach Rex Ryan and former Phillies Legend and resident baseball beyond Thicky Ricardo John Kruk. The Jets head coach allegedly underwent one of those lap-band procedures and whilst it initially looked like the former super heavyweight was dropping pounds like they were hot, it now appears like unsexy Rexy is back on the cupcakes. Ryan hollered at the Mets game Tuesday night to throw out the first pitch but you could tell that he had cheeseburgers on the brain.

After numerous incidents involving his now legendary gut, Jets head coach Rex Ryan decided that sometimes bigger isn’t better and underwent a lap-band procedure this weekend at the NYU Medical Center. It was a busy weekend for Ryan, as former Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson was in town for a short visit that he decided to extend for a few years. After entertaining Tomlinson early in the weekend, Ryan had the outpatient surgery on Saturday and was allowed spend the night at home. When you are just way too fat to exercise, the Lap-Band is a pretty solid alternative, helping you lose wait without all of the unnecessary fatigue of working out.
Ryan claimed to be around 340 pounds at the beginning of the 2009 season, but after leading the Jets all the way to the AFC Championship, you can best believe that Ryan was no stranger to getting his grub on. It was probably a good idea that Rex waited until after the Combine to get his grub on, because he has gained a cult following in Indianapolis, that converge on the Steak & Shake downtown around 2am any night during the nearly week-long event to witness Ryan, along with his brother Rob and fellow fatty Andy Reid devouring hamburgers and milkshakes with extreme hostility.
Video of Former Falcons center and NFL Network talking about the Realize band (basically the Lap-Band’s cousin) and losing damn near a human’s worth of weight after the jump…

In case you didn’t know, Jets head coach Rex Ryan has heart. In a single season, Ryan has become one of your bigger Legends in the world of sports. Whilst attending an MMA Strikeforce event in Miami, some fans were talking some heat to Big Rex, and he proceeded to give them a piece of his mind, flipping them the bird as they photographed him looking something like a grizzly truck driver. As a result he was subject to minimal backlash thus far, but will inevitable have to break a little cheese and kiss a few babies to cool down tensions. Following the spread of the photo, Ryan released the following statement.
It was stupid and inappropriate. I wouldn’t accept that type of behavior from one of the coaches or players and it’s unacceptable from me. I apologize to the Jets organization, the National Football League and NFL fans everywhere.
Rex definitely gets a pass for this one, and another notch on the belt of his growing lore.Via SportsbyBrooks
Ghettooh: Jets Fan Gets Debo’d And Tasered By Cops

Damn, this Jets fan didn’t even do nothing, but he must have thought he was tough to get served up by the Indianapolis police like this. It’s unclear as to the events that led to the result, but after the Jets fan choses to resist the attacks of the 2 officers, who are trying to put him in cuffs, one of the popo decides to pull out the taser gun aka the super duper one-hitter quitter.
The worst part is that the Jets fan was arrested during a pregame tailgate, most assuredly missing the game, which may have actually been a blessing in disguise as the Green Machine got their proverbial asses handed to them. Thanks to this incriminating video, it’s a safe bet that a lawsuit is on the way for some big chips. Can’t we all just get along? Via The Big Lead

Some crafty Pats fan out there did this spoof video mocking Jets head coach Rex Ryan’s now legendary call to fans before their Week 2 win against the Patriots. The impersonation is pretty solid and worth a listen.
