Holler Back: Seahawks Release Edgerrin James

Tis Tough. After a career worthy of Hall of Fame recognition, Edgerrin James is getting phased out like DVD players. The Legend was released by the Seahawks Tuesday, following a shaky half-season with the team. The 31-year old running back currently in his 11th season, was ineffective in his 7 games with the Seahawks, registering 125 rush yards on 46 attempts with no touchdowns. This is easily James’ worst season of his career, which has being going downhill like Picabo Street since he bounced from the Colts following the 2005 season, after years of getting the franchise tag.
Edge was released by the Cardinals after 3 disappointing seasons with the team earlier this season, but was instrumental in the Super Bowl run last year. With very minimal interest from other teams around the NFL, seeing Edge again this season, if ever again, is questionable at this point. If James is indeed donezo, his 12,246 rushing yards are good enough for 10th all-time and his 82.7 rush yards per game is 12th.

The jersey that the greatest basketball player of all-time, Mr. Michael Jordan, actually wore in his first ever game in the NBA is about to go up for auction. That’s right, you’re going to be given a chance to have a piece of history. It’s all part of the 4th Annual Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Auction going down this Saturday, September 12th.
Now Jordan gets inducted into the Hall on Friday along with John Stockton, David Robinson and Jerry Sloan so they are slanging some of their stuff to raise some money. Also in the auction is the actual backboard and rim into which Jordan hit “The Shot” on Byron Russell in the 1998 NBA Finals Game.
But don’t think you’re getting anything Jordan unless you have money to blow because bidding for his stuff starts at $25K.

With baseball ending and football coming, it’s easy to forget that MJ is going to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame on September 10th. But always there to remind you of Michael Jordan’s greatness is Nike, who will be dropping three shoes as part of their Air Jordan Moments Collection, aka The Hall Of Fame Pack.
(Shoe pics from L to R) You’ll have your choice of fresh new pairs of the ‘09 Jordan ($200), the Jordan 6 Rings ($175), or the classic Jordan 1’s ($125)… or if you’re a baller you can just cop all three of them…they drop September 5th.
MJ Has His Own Hall In The Hall Of Fame…

For those of you that are slow and haven’t heard the news, MikeJ is about to be inducted into the HOF (Hall of Fame) coming up next month.
But, since Jordan is the greatest dead or alive, the Hall is not just going to induct him, they added 2000 square feet onto the Hall just so Michael could have his own section.
They got all his old kicks, a big ass mural of Jordan, old jerseys, and even the glove he used when he was playing baseball…bronzed of course. Watch the video to see how sick the new Michael Jordan Exhibit really is…

The Michael Jordan Hall Of Fame Tribute Has Begun…

We don’t know how they did this sh*t, but this is some of the most amazing sh*t that we’ve seen with our own eyes. Thousands upon thousands of Gatorade bottles, all the flavors, arranged so they look like one of Jordan’s most classic dunks and it lights up like a light-up-color-pegs board!
And this was all done to congratulate Jordan for getting inducted into the HOF. Mark your calendar because you are going to want to be in front of the TV when he gets in…September 12th.

Rickey Henderson In The HOF…Rickey Likes That

They’ll never be another showman like Rickey Mother(f)ucking Henderson in baseball ever again. He was like Ali and Neon Deion all rolled into one. Who else you know that talked in the third person all the time! They don’t make classics like Rickey no more.
Now everybody half decent at playing baseball is a square, boring, and/or has a Spanish accent…no offense, we think it sounds sexy on a girl. Shout out to the Jim Rice for getting inducted into the HOF.
