You know if Dikembe Mutombo is at a function then it must be cracking. The Legend, in town visiting his daughter who attends school in the area, decided to holler at the Cowboys-Saints game suited and booted. And like a true fan Dikembe showed up to the Superdome extra early, probably trying to get some cheese out of somebody for one of his charitable endeavors.

DeMarcus Ware Serves Saints With Shady Neck

While most of the media is quick to praise Tony Romo’s performance in the Cowboys win against the Saints at the Superdome Saturday night, the real player of the game was none other than DeMarcus Ware. Just one week after being carted off the field with what appeared to be a devastating neck inury, Ware dominated the Saints to the tune of 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles, including the game-winning sack strip with less than 10 seconds remaining.

Ware dominated tackle Jermon Bushrod for the entire evening and pressured Drew Brees like a baby mama trying to get some child support. The entire Cowboys defense stepped up in crunch time, after Nick Folk tricked off what should have been a game sealing chip shot late in the 4th quarter. Guaranteed Folk’s days in Big D our numbered after blowing what was basically an extra point, in a scene reminiscent to the Saints comeback win against the Redskins a few weeks ago.

The Cowboys finally got that December monkey off their back…well somewhat. Entering the matchup having lost their 2 previous games, the ‘Boys needed a win desperately to keep their playoff hopes alive. I recall predicting this on Friday, but generally don’t enjoy horn-tooting because it goes both ways. At 9-5, the Cowboys still trail the Eagles (9-4) for tops in the NFC East, but hold a 2 game lead in the Wild Card race. But with 2 division games left, including a meeting with the Eagles at Cowboys Stadium for the season finale, Dallas controls it’s destiny. One win and their in, 2 and they win the division. Either way Wade is still getting paid.

As we told you last week, President Obama appeared in a PSA with NFL’ers Drew Brees, Troy Polamalu and DeMarcus Ware in conjuction with NFL Play 60 and United We Serve. The goal of the 90 second commercial is to urge kids to lead an active lifestyle by spending time playing with something else besides their meat. Is it just us or does Obama catch and throw like a girl? Welp, you be the judge.

Obama Tells Kids To Get Off Their Lazy Asses

Always one to relish in the opportunity to kick it with some athletes or chop game about the latest news from the sporting world, President Obama is teaming up with the NFL Play 60 movement and current ballers, Drew Brees, Troy Polamalu and DeMarcus Ware for a special 90-second PSA that is scheduled to run during the Turkey Day football lineup. The President, rocking a Chicago Bear jacket out of respect for his adopted hometown, will encourage kids to get off their lazy asses and participate in some form of physical activity, other than spanking the monkey.

While initially we were all pleased with the fact that our President was an avid sports fan, it’s time for him to become a fan of a reasonable health care bill and a plan to get our gas prices back to like they were in 1999. Sports can wait bro.
