WTF? Brandon Jacobs Tries To Punch DeAngelo Hall

During the Giants blowout win over the Redskins Monday night, running back Brandon Jacobs decided he wanted to literally bust some ass on the field. During the beginning of the 4th quarter, with the Giants holding a 26 point lead, Jacobs and Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall, no stranger to both verbal and physical fisticuffs, got into a heated argument that led to some pushing and shoving. Jacobs decided to try and see what was really hood, throwing a punch in the direction of Hall that ended up hitting Reed Doughty in the shoulder as he was trying to squash the altercation.
I’ve never really understood the rationale behind a football player trying to throw a punch at someone who is wearing a helmet. Even if you do connect, it will likely do more damage than good because helmets are designed to shield players from impact. But then again, Brandon Jacobs has never been one to be viewed as the brightest tool in the shed. This should lead to some type of fine from the NFL once the tape is reviewed.

DeAngelo Hall Calls Out Falcons Coach Mike Smith

Whenever DeAngelo Hall makes his way back to the “A,” you know he is going to be on one. Hall is probably still bitter at the Falcons for the Bobby Petrino debacle in 2007 and his subsequent trade to the Raiders in March of 2008, coinciding with the beginning of Mike Smith’s tenure with the Falcons. Always being the type that carries his emotion on his sleeve, and also dealing with the frustation of playing with one of the worst teams in the League, Hall took advantage of a golden opportunity to let his former team know that he’s not rolling with them.
The real question is where were all of Hall’s teammates during the scuffle? Hall is engulfed in a sea of red, that looks something like a Piru bbq, for about 10-15 seconds before fellow defensive backs Justin Tryon and LaRon Landry make their entry into the melee. Considering the whole incident started as a result of Landry’s late hit on Matt Ryan, you would think he could have came and helped his dude quicker.
Check out DeAngelo Hall’s legendary postgame interview, where he tells Falcons head coach Mike Smith to come see him in the offseason, after the jump…

I’m Rich Bitch…Haynesworth Gets $100 Milli

If the Washington Redskins are willing to give you $100 milli over 7 years, you know you are the shit. Yeah the shit. And the great thing about the contract is that he gets $32 million of the money within the first year and has $41 million guaranteed. But, moving to Washington DC and getting paid that much could not be good because it he even has one par year the fans are never going to let him hear the end of it.
Add this to the fact that they also signed cornerback DeAngelo Hall for 6 years and $54 milli and you can start to see the Redskins defense becoming just as good as their offense who has Portis and our dude Campbell at QB.
