LOL: Jerry Jones Rocks Leather Jacket At Presser

Share/Bookmark

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones must be going through some sort of end-life crisis. The 67 year old, who looks closer to 80, decided to rock a flossy leather jacket and black dress shirt during the Cowboys end of the year press conference a few days ago. Jones also decided that after leading the Cowboys to their first playoff victory since 1996, head coach Wade Phillips deserved a 2-year extension as his contract was set to expire at then end of the League’s season. Phillips is 33-15 in his 3 season with the Cowboys, including 2 NFC East titles and playoff appearances, now has a little stability thru the 2011 season.

Jones upped his legendary status with this fashion decision and shows that you aren’t ever too old to have a little flavor. If you gave him beanie and a pair of solid glasses, he would look like an old ass version of Kid Cudi.

Video of Jones mashing around drinking a tasty beverage (probs some syrup) from a styrofoam cup after the jump…

Inside The Cowboys Locker Room With Marty B

Share/Bookmark

You know Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett is a burgeoning legend, when he isn’t on the field trying to keep it “high and tight,” he puts up some solid video content with his Youtube channel MartyBTV. Some of his videos, mainly the one with him and his brother having a fried chicken eating contest, have gained some negative attention but as we all know it doesn’t matter if it’s funny. Here Bennett takes us inside the Cowboys locker room right after their win against the Eagles. The dudes are getting pretty crunk following the victory.

Check out the Cowboys players and staff doing a poor man’s rendition of the “I Got A Feeling” LipDubs that have been littering the internet after the jump.

Eagles Lose But Vick Is Still A Beast

Share/Bookmark

Mike Vick was easily the Eagles best quarterback during their NFC Wild Card loss to the Cowboys in Big D. Even though he lost a fumble later in the game, Vick came in and did work, throwing this long touchdown pass to rookie Jeremy Maclin. Vick gave the squad early hope, even though it wouldn’t last. The Eagles are going to have a tough decision to make this offseason, do they keep Vick around next season and take the damn near 6 million dollar hit, or let him go elsewhere to dominate? There is a good chance that both Vick and Donovan McNabb won’t be with the team next season.

New Orleans Rolling With The “Breesus” Phenomenon

We know Drew Brees is a beast, but this whole “Breesus” thing is going a tad too far. Not that I’m religious or anything (I do believe Sunday is a day of leisure, but so is Monday-Saturday) but annointing one man as the “Savior” of the Saints is a little much. Brees has been killing this season and should edge out Peyton Manning in the MVP race, unless he decides to pull a Colt McCoy in the last 3 games. While Brees is definitely the Saints engine, he has a pretty baller supporting cast on offense, and a defense that gets the job done.

Even Brees has admitted that he understands how some Jesus freaks could find this good-natured nickname sacriligious, but he also admits that he is rolling with the attention. The Saints will need some divine intervention to win the next 3 games, including a meeting with the Cowboys this Saturday. Even though the Cowboys are accustom to shitty Decembers (much like my past few Christmas’), going 5-10 with Tony Romo as the starter, including an 0-2 record this year. All this means is they are due for a win.

Brees has been something like a savior to the city, coming over in 2006 and dealing with the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and leading the team to the NFC Championship. Since then the Saints have faltered and this season has provided a bright spot throughout the city. The Superdome is cracking and the crowd looks something like a circus, sporting various outfits, including key members of the clergy. Don’t be surprised if a lightning bolt or another flood mysteriously hits the city in the near future. Via SI

BYD: Jessica Simpson Thirsty For Some Sweeter Juice

Share/Bookmark

Jessica Simpson’s looking thicker than a snicker nowadays. TMZ released a video of Simpson, Tony Romo’s former boo, out in the NYC last night saying she was thirsty for the Cowboys QB’s new primary target, wide receiver Miles Austin. As we have previously stated, eventually every woman realizes that a trip to the darkside is a marvelous experience. Simpson’s revelation comes as no surprise, as we’re sure that Austin could probs smash her cakes better than Romo, who is more of a squarish type.

Obama’s NFL Play 60 Thanksgiving Commercial

Share/Bookmark

As we told you last week, President Obama appeared in a PSA with NFL’ers Drew Brees, Troy Polamalu and DeMarcus Ware in conjuction with NFL Play 60 and United We Serve. The goal of the 90 second commercial is to urge kids to lead an active lifestyle by spending time playing with something else besides their meat. Is it just us or does Obama catch and throw like a girl? Welp, you be the judge.

Obama Tells Kids To Get Off Their Lazy Asses

Share/Bookmark

Always one to relish in the opportunity to kick it with some athletes or chop game about the latest news from the sporting world, President Obama is teaming up with the NFL Play 60 movement and current ballers, Drew Brees, Troy Polamalu and DeMarcus Ware for a special 90-second PSA that is scheduled to run during the Turkey Day football lineup. The President, rocking a Chicago Bear jacket out of respect for his adopted hometown, will encourage kids to get off their lazy asses and participate in some form of physical activity, other than spanking the monkey.

While initially we were all pleased with the fact that our President was an avid sports fan, it’s time for him to become a fan of a reasonable health care bill and a plan to get our gas prices back to like they were in 1999. Sports can wait bro.
