Report: Carmelo Anthony Not On Trading Block

ESPN.com’s Marc Stein is reporting that Nugget’s superstar Carmelo Anthony is not on the trading block. At the moment.
According to Stein, several “sources tied to potential Anthony suitors” are reporting that the Nuggets are shutting down any inquiries about Melo right away.
According to our sources, this is the case for a handful of teams, but the Nuggets continue to entertain offers from a select few franchises, with Chicago being the front-runner. The handwriting is on the wall for new VP of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri, who will meet with Anthony in the next week, either in Denver or Los Angeles.
Nuggets brass seem to think that Ujiri can”re-connect” with Anthony on some kind of level, since they both came into the league at the same time and had a cordial acquaintance. That assertion is silly, as big-time NBA career decisions aren’t typically influenced because your homie is the new GM.
Ujiri was never in Anthony’s inner circle, so it’s baffling that the Nuggets have so much confidence in his ability to influence Anthony to stay…….
Carmelo Anthony Wants To Be Like Mike

‘Melo up at UCLA Tuesday, where he took this pic with Dragonfly Jones’ nephew.
Several news outlets have reported that the Chicago Bulls have made a major play to secure the services of Carmelo Anthony. The Bulls reportedly have offered a package that includes Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, James Johnson and a couple of 1st round draft picks for the Nuggets star.
Last summer Anthony and his wife LaLa, signed with Creative Arts Agency as a package deal. Since then, much has been made of Anthony’s desire to play in LA or the NY/NJ metropolitan area and how much LaLa’s professional career plans influences him.
The close proximity to major entertainment markets seem enticing for the couple, as Anthony’s business interests have expanded into film and music. But our sources say Anthony is not driven by the desire to be close to “Hollywood”, but rather to compete for an NBA championship right away.
According to our source, the Chicago Bulls are Anthony’s top choice and for obvious reasons…..
Carmelo Anthony Issues Bounty On Kat Stacks

Last night on Twitter, Carmelo Anthony offered $5,000 to anyone that would slap Kat Stacks. Today like Ray Allen, Anthony is claiming his Twitter account was hacked. Let’s breakdown the particulars anyway.
Kat Stacks is a notorious hip-hop groupie, who has exposed several details about her sexual encounters with several rappers. In fact, Stacks was recently assaulted by two men claiming to represent Bow Wow and Fabolous. Most recently she made several allegations against Souljah Boy, including cocaine use.
You can talk about LeBron and his PR gaffes, but this is just straight buffoonery. On Twitter the lines separating fact and fiction are blurred, but judging by recent activity on his account, this isn’t out the realm of possibility.
His page was promptly taken down after the exchange, the classic fall back for celebrity Twitter indiscretion. I follow Carmelo on Twitter and he is never one to mince words or censor himself. In fact, he is very interactive with fans and quotes a lot of rap lyrics.
He is also one of a handful of NBA ballplayers that curse while Tweeting……
Carmelo, Nuggets Ready To Move On

This summer has been one of the most controversial and groundbreaking NBA off-season’s in recent memory. Several players have been accused of holding their organizations “hostage”, and the backlash from LeBron and “The Decision”, has been nothing short of vitriolic.
Chris Paul was criticized to be trying to force his way out of New Orleans, and now Carmelo Anthony is under fire for the same thing.
According to Adrian Wojnaroski of Yahoo Sports, Anthony and his team at CAA are using threats and ultimatum’s to force the Nuggets to trade him. Leon Rose and Worldwide Wes are the culprits again, this time allegedly telling the Nuggets front-office weeks ago ”do yourself a favor and trade him”.
I’m not sure how that constitutes an ultimatum or threat, but apparently any player that dare want out of his situation is a thuggish malcontent.
In a meeting described as “unproductive” last Sunday with incoming owner Josh Kroenke, Anthony reiterated his desire to leave Denver, and provided the Nuggets with a short list of destinations he’d like to go. This list includes HOU, ORL, LAC, NJ, NY and CHI…..
Carmelo & Dwight Howard To Star In Shanghai Film

Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony and Magic center Dwight Howard will star in a basketball film with an award-winning Chinese director entitled “Amazing.”
The NBA and Shanghai Film Group announced the joint production on Tuesday, calling it “the first NBA-themed motion picture outside of North America.”
The filming will take place in New York, Beijing and Shanghai through November and feature top actors from Asia. “Amazing” is directed by Hu Xuehua, a winner of the Kennedy Center Honors.
The movie is scheduled to open next summer and by the looks of Melo’s outfit, it may be pretty dope.
The NBA will play its fifth set of preseason games in China when the Houston Rockets and New Jersey Nets play in Beijing and Guangzhou in October.
Knicks Interested In Trade For Carmelo Anthony

According to ESPN 1050, the Knicks flagship station, the team is prepared to make the Denver Nuggets an offer for disgruntled forward Carmelo Anthony. Several events, including a botched toast by Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke at Carmelo’s wedding, have contributed to the perennial All-Star’s unwillingness to sign the 3-year 65 million dollar extension that is on the table.
The Nuggets could potentially lose Anthony for nothing in next summer’s free-agency, and still have instability in the front office as we speak. Without an active GM, there are few members of that organization that could be pulling the strings on a deal of this magnitude, and it wouldn’t surprise me to find out that Kroenke is the lead on this deal.
The Knicks are rumored to be offering a first round draft choice, Danilo Gallinari and Eddie Curry’s expiring $11.3 million dollar deal. A little tough to give up on Gallinari, as he’s showed signs that he could be an All-Star caliber forward in the NBA, but he is a valuable bargaining chip when trying to land the NBA’s 4th or 5th best player.

Ricardo The Bus Boy Gives ‘Melo The Business

The burgeoning Legend that is Ricardo The Bus Boy continued his domination of Jimmy Kimmel Live’s “Pop-A-Shot Challenge” serving a lackluster Carmelo Anthony who looked like he just munched on those weed brownies that Cali is known for. ‘Melo dropped a nasty-looking 38, taking his sweet time to get buckets up, unaware that Ricardo was about to do work. RTBB improved to 6-0 in the challenge and should get at least get one courtesy hojo for his troubles.
‘Melo, B.D. & JR Smith Make Cameo In Diego Ca$h Vid

Now we told you about Carmelo Anthony’s record label Krossover Entertainment and his first artist Diego Ca$h out of the ATL a while ago. Well now it seems that ‘Melo has finally fronted his boy some cheese to get a sick beat and produce a decent music video. Unfortunately as Mr. Toledano would say, “sh!t f@*kin’ sucks man!” At this point Diego Ca$h is decent at best, definitely in need of a stylist, to actually make us believe that he is indeed fly and not just a hangout guy with a whatevs flow. But with Cassidy also on the roster, ‘Melo probably isn’t that concerned. Besides, it ain’t trickin’ if you got it.
The beat was sick though.
