Sick Kicks: Boom Dizzle’s Chinese Connection

Mark my words, the takeover is almost here. Let’s just keep it real for second, the USA isn’t what it use to be. Across the board the World is catching up and after Centuries of trying to jock our swag, on some levels we are beginning to get surpassed. Case in point, these new kicks that Chinese shoe company Li Ning designed for Clippers guard Baron Davis called the BD1. They look like some moderately wealthy Nike’s and the logo is definitely is a cross between a checkmark, the swosh and the horn on the Minnesota Vikings helmet.
Boom Dizzle bounced from Reebok in the fall of last year to sign with the company, who is doing big numbers in the People’s Republic. So much so that they aren’t even really trippin’ on slanging the shoes in the States, because in China they are hotter than a Wal Mart….geez.
The shoes are completely custom to Boom Dizzle and include a picture of the legendary “Baron’s Beard” on the tongue as well as his name on the back side. They look pretty comfy and if BD kills in them this year, you can guarantee that somehow, some way, they will become a staple out around this way. Don’t sleep on the Clippers. Via Sole Collector

Boom Dizzle Leads Clippers To First Win

Its been a tough season thus far for the Clippers and especially their new star Baron Davis. After losing 6 straight games to open 2008-09 campaign, Davis and the Clips were able to play some of their best basketball of the season in a 103-92 win versus the Mavericks Sunday. BD had his best game as a Clipper, dropping 22 points to go along with 10 dimes.
