Tis Tough: Arenas & Crittenton Suspended For Season

Commissioner David Stern speaks on the season-long suspensions of Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton for charges related to studio thuggin’. Both Arenas and Crittenton copped gun cases stemming from a questionable altercation in the Wizards locker room in which both men drew unloaded heaters at each other, after a civil dispute got pretendo gangsterish. Now Arenas forfeits the rest of his cheese for the season and potential his entire contract, and awaits sentencing in March where he will most likely do some time in jail.
Crittenton got off a lot easier, but will still have to go without a check for the remainder of the season, and he isn’t caking anywhere near to Agent Zero, so it’s going to be a cold spring for him.
Tis Tough: NBA Suspends Gilbert Arenas Indefinitely

The NBA decided to suspend Gilbert Arenas indefinitely as a result of the gun scandal that has plagued the All-star guard and the Wizards the past few weeks. Considering that Arenas could be facing some jail time as result of bringing unlicensed, unloaded weapons to the Verizon center, in violation of League rules, the suspension was understandable. Arenas is currently in the process of meeting with federal investigators to explain the circumstances and some sort of decision on whether or not charges will be filed should be coming soon. NBA Commissioner David Stern released a statement regarding the matter:
Although it is clear that the actions of Mr. Arenas will ultimately result in a substantial suspension, and perhaps worse, his ongoing conduct has led me to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game … Accordingly, I am suspending Mr. Arenas indefinitely, without pay, effective immediately pending the completion of the investigation by the NBA.
