Spotted: Peyton Manning Throwing Balls At Duke
Colts future hall of fame quarterback Peyt0n Manning appears to be back like some cooked crack (as if it ever left) after missing the entire 2011 season following a janky neck surgery that caused him to lose feeling in his fingers and nearly ended his career.
Video surfaced this weekend of the 4-time MVP working with his former offensive coordinator at Tennessee and current Duke coach David Cutcliffe, and although the clips are brief and the quality is questionable at best, Manning does look like he has his mojo back.
Dressed in full pads and a Colts uniform, Manning went through an aggressive throwing session, complete with a variety of different routes and some courtesy defense.
Whilst most of the Colts nation is focused on eventually #1 pick Andrew Luck as the heir-apparent, I’m not quite sold on put the future of the franchise on a dude that has never played a professional game.
With about a week remaining until the Colts have to decide whether or not to pick up Manning’s $28 million option, it will be interesting to see just how good Peyton looks and what the team decides to do with the (former?) face of the franchise.
Either way, the Colts are going to need some good Luck to bounce back from the nastiness that was their 2011 season.
