Sick Shot: Kevin Durant Shows Mavs That Thunder Ain’t Kids No More With Game-Winner

Despite the most successful season in team history (not including the Seattle years for obvious reasons) and a 2nd place finish in the West, the  Thunder first-round playoff matchup against the defending champion Mavs came with mixed emotions.

Despite a dismal regular season, the Mavs aren’t your typical 7 seed, and despite some new faces in Big D, the team still has franchise stud Dirk Nowitzki and a squad capable of making some noise in the postseason.

The Mavs looked on pace to upset the Thunder in the series opener, but Kevin Durant displayed a huge set of marbles, hitting the game-winner in the final moments to show Mark Cuban and them that his squad is ready to make the transition from boys to men.

The Thunder took Game 1 and if this series is anything like the first game, then we can expect to see it go 6 or even 7 games, but one thing is for sure, Durant and company are ready for the challenge and this game-winning bucket definitely sent a message.
