Lower Columbia College outfielder Derrick Salberg catapult himself into an internet sensation after this legendary video dropped which featured one of the most ridiculous game-ending catches ever got on tape.
Here is all the pertinent info courtesy of the youtube channel that uploaded the vid:
During the first round of the NWAACC baseball championships, Lower Columbia College outfielder Derrick Salberg leaps over the fence to make a game-ending catch to rob Everett of a two-run home run and preserve a 4-2 victory. Video courtest of KLTV in Longview, Wash.
Don’t get me wrong, this is one of the most legendary catches that I’ve seen, but the fact that a dude can jump over a (little) wall, and land on the opposite side of the playing field and have the catch still be ruled an out is a little baffling to me.
Guaranteed Salberg will use this video at some point in his life to seal the deal with some potential smash’ems. However, I cannot guarantee whether or not said smash’em will be a dime, or a crime.
