Patriot Mascot Pinched In Prostitution Sting
Robert Somanti, a New England area legend and one of the men who dresses up as the Patriots’ leftist insurgent mascot Pat the Patriot, was arrested earlier this week as apart of a Rhode Island prostitution sting. Somanti was attempting to get his nut but didn’t realize that them folkers were taping. He was suspended from the Patriots for his actions and most likely will be told to holler back after literally getting caught with his pants down.
A wise man once said that “tricks are for kids,” but anybody who has ever procured the services of a friend for the night, might have to argue that one. If there is anything that can be learned from this situation, it’s that even professional mascots have to get their nut. Somanti probably should have just tried to take a girl out to a nice steak dinner in hopes of getting a courtesy hojo, it would have ended up costing somewhere in the same ballpark for way less trouble.
This is another black eye for the Patriots organization, which has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks. But with a record of 7-5 and Randy Moss in the mix, anything is possible for the team that was a shitty 4th & 2 call away from giving the Colts their first loss of the season. With four games left they still control their destiny and might have something left in the tank besides sugar. Via Boston Globe
