NBA: Dwyane Wade Scores 34, Heat Dominate Warriors
In the opening moments of the game and the score tied at two, Heat superstar Dwyane Wade took a nasty, Andres Bierdrins elbow to the head. There was little doubt that the shot was accidental, and after several tense minutes laid out on the floor, Wade rose under his own power and walked to the bench.
He would return, score 34 points and lead the Heat(16-8) to a 106-84 thrashing of the Warriors(8-15) at Oracle Arena.
Miami has won seven consecutive games, -all by double-digits- since their loss to the Mavericks, and four in a row away from home. The Heat scored 27 points in transition against the Warriors, including several highlight worthy dunks by Lebron.
James nearly registered a triple-double in 30 minutes, finishing with 25 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in three quarters.
He did not play the final period….
The Warriors, led by Monta Ellis 20 points, kept it close for 24 minutes, trailing 48-45 at the break.
Miami came out of the locker-room in the third quarter and exploded for an 18-3 run, scoring on nine consecutive possessions to open the half, stretching the lead to 20 on a Lebron James three-point play with 4:16 remaining in the period.
Chris Bosh added 16 points and 7 rebounds, as Miami finished with a season high 33 assists, shooting a season best 64% from beyond the arc.
