Let Blake Bang! Blake Griffin Says He Wants to Be In 2011 NBA Dunk Contest
After the Lakers put on the full-court press last year to get Shannon Brown into the dunk contest, with the “Let Shannon Dunk” campaign, which turned out to be a case of false advertising, Clippers rookie forward Blake Griffin is trying to let it be known that he wants to do his thizzle in this season’s installation of the fledgling event.
Griffin made an appearance on NBA TV last night before the Clippers game against the Jazz, and when asked about his interest in participating in the dunk contest he had the following to say:
I haven’t been approached yet but, you know whenever they ah, if they do, yeah man I’d definitely be interested in it. It was something that I’ve always watched growing up so I think it’d be a lot of fun to do.
If you’ve seen Griffin to his thing this year, then you know that he has a good shot at winning the whole damn thing, as some of his in-game dunks are good enough to warrant a perfect score.
