Shit got real in the ‘Nap (square translator: Indianapolis) during a high school football game between Arsenal Tech and Ft. Wayne South as a fight broke out between players, coaches and fans of both sides, and almost escalated into some intense fisticuffs.
INC Now has all the deets:
With just over a minute left in the third quarter, and Tech up 24-6, things became a little chippy between players after a tackle.
That quickly escalated into players and coaches from both teams coming onto the field, starting a melee.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to the scene to help school officers who were already on hand for the game and calm was quickly restored.
“The IHSAA is investigating the situation,” the Indiana High School Athletic Association says in a statement released Saturday. “We will meet with the schools soon and hope to have a decision on action by the middle of the week.”
If entire teams are getting suspended for some by some cyber-bullying, you can best believe members of both teams will be spending some time on Chilligan’s Island in the near future.
