Holler Back: Lorenzen Wright’s Body Found

The Commercial Appeal is reporting that Memphis Police have confirmed that a body found behind the Fieldstone Apartments in Southwind, is that of former NBA baller Lorenzen Wright, who had been missing since Sunday. Police officials classified their investigation as a “death investigation,” after Wright’s body was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds.

At the home of Wright’s ex-wife Sherra Robinson Wright, whom he was visiting along with his children before disappearing, sounds of crying and wailing could be heard outside. Several family members and friends, including Penny Hardaway and Elliot Perry are gathered near the Fieldstone Apartments in Southwind.

According to the Collierville Police report released today, Wright was likely to have  a large amount of cash on him, and may have been the victim of foul play. There is also a 911 hangup from his phone on the morning of the disappearance that has raised concerned amongst investigators.
