Holler Back: Griffin Latest Victim Of Clippers Curse

Share/Bookmark

The Clippers Curse isn’t really the Clippers fault, it’s really more like the Donald T. Sterling Curse. For some reason ever since Sterling has owned the Clips, there has been a reeking scent of a commitment to mediocrity in all areas of the team, but especially in realm of player’s health. It’s almost like Sterling has put one of them mambo jahambo type spells on the organization, so when it was announced that #1 pick Blake Griffin would have to undergo season-ending knee surgery, without playing a game this season, it wasn’t a big shocker.

Griffin suffered a stress fracture in his left knee just days before the regular season started, landing awkwardly after a routine dunk during a preseason game against the Hornets. Griffin’s rehab was reportedly going well and he was expected to return to the court until it was determined that the knee did not heal properly, leaving no other choice but surgery. Griffin will miss the next 4-6 months and will spend this summer doing everything he can to not become the next Greg Oden.
