Decent: Will Ferrell As “Rojo” Johnson

In his latest attempt at creating another legendary sports character, comedian Will Ferrell made a cameo at a minor league baseball game, posing as his newest icon, Billy Ray “Rojo” Johnson. Johnson is an American-born pitcher, that was raised in Venezuela and is known for his fierce temper and decent fastball.

Rojo has the potential to be a legendary character, but with Kenny Powers already in existence on the instant classic “East Bound & Down” (of which Ferrell was a member of the cast), this character may not stack up. Everything that Ferrell does is at least decently funny, so Rojo should stack up with some of Ferrell’s others like Ricky Bobby and Jackie Moon.
