Cavs Fans & Heat Fans Reaction To King James
It was obvious that there was going to be celebration in Miami and some hurt feelings in Cleveland when hometown hero LeBron James decided to make his next move his best one and team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in South Beach, but the way that some Cavs fans, including owner Dan Gilbert, handled the situation is just simply classless.
After King James announcement, several of his (former) fans took to the streets and showed their saltiness by burning LeBron’s now throwback Cavs jersey. It’s sad to think that after everything LeBron has done for the city of Cleveland, and the state of Ohio, this is the thanks he gets.
King James spent 7 seasons in Cleveland, including re-signing a few years ago when he could have bounced back then, and made basketball relevant in a city largely known for it’s failures. The guy led the team to their only finals appearance as a 22 year old and led the league in wins the last 2 seasons.
LeBron owes Cleveland NOTHING!
If Cavs fans really want someone to be salty at, how about Danny Ferry and the ownership, for consistently laying it up in terms of acquiring marquee talent to surround their franchise player with. The bottom line is that LeBron made a smart career move and anyone given the opportunity to play with 2 future hall of famers would have made the same one.
