10 months after Garrett McNamara astounded us all by setting a World Record for surfing the largest wave in documented history, Brazilian Carlos Burle decided to stunt on him heavy during “Big Swell Monday” at Praia do Norte, Nazaré, Portugal–the same place McNamara rode his Big Kahuna-esque wave.

Before riding the 100-foot wave (which still needs to be verified by square calculations, but once verified should be known as the “Bigger Kahuna”), Burle actually managed to save the life of another female surfer who nearly drowned before he grabbed her and took her to safety.
